Rewarewa Honey & Apple Crumble

You can’t go past a classic apple crumble for dessert, especially after a hearty Sunday dinner in Winter. With the colder weather fast approaching our friends Megs & Soph have created the ultimate recipe, sweetened 100% naturally with our Watson & Son Rewarewa honey. It’s super easy to put together and we guarantee you’ll love the hints of malty caramel flavours from the Rewarewa honey in every bite.
RECIPE
Stewed Apples:
3-4 medium apples, cut into cubes.
1 Tbsp Watson & Son Rewarewa Honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup water
Combine all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil and simmer until apples are super soft.
Crumble topping:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 tsp cinnamon
50g softened butter
3 Tbsps Watson & Son Rewarewa Honey
Dash of salt
Combine all ingredients and sprinkle on top of apple base in an ovenproof dish.
Pop in the oven for 20mins at 180 degrees until golden brown.
Serve with a generous dollop of Cream, Greek yoghurt or Vanilla Ice Cream. Delicious!
